I’m back online…
Well it seems after many a search that I found my old entries without calling in my host, but I did loose the theme. Fear not, I have a new one, and if you’re not using a feed reader, it’s staring you right in the face. Please enjoy and welcome to the official version 2.0 of Political Monster (.org).
Branding
Political Monster (.org) is now a brand more than anything, I am learning the great skills of stencil graffiti for my art and with that I’m making some shirts. In fact, I started on that today. There all going to contain the Political Monster (.org) brand name and they are all going to be good (in theory). I might even sell one or two when my skills increase. The ‘brand’ as I like to call it is more the Monster (.org) brand than the Political Monster (.org) brand, you’ll see why soon, I’ve got a few projects using the Monster (.org) in them. Sadly Monster.org is a taken domain name though so I guess I’ll stick with this.
Other crap
I got glasses because I’m short sited, and I also have only 8 weeks until GCSE’s start.
Gigin’
You,
standing in the corner,
surrounded by the group,
waiting painfully.
It’s finally time,
you mount the stage,
and raawwww as you shred the guitar!
Adrenaline rush.
Thats it,
only a few seconds, just one blink,
and its all over,
gign’.
Ok, I screwed up…
Hi everyone, seems I forgot something that could be considered slightly important: BACKUP!
Yeah, I was gonna move from WPMU to just WP, but forgot to backup the
theme, the posts and everything, shit. Why, I really don’t know. Oh well, these things happen I guess. I’m gonna take some time off I think (only a week though) just to think more slowly about this site etc…
From web n00b to design pro…
EDIT: I am NOT a pro, I’m on the journey, but I’ve learnt a lot so far and this is it:
I’ve made it from nothing, so has everyone else, so can you. About a year (or two) ago I started to get really into the whole ‘web’ thing. Despite being 14 at the time I hadn’t done anything except browse Newgrounds before. I soon discovered blogspot and started a blog with a friend. Soon we were blogging crazy, but there was something missing… Community. I soon pulled away from blogspot and with my tiny amount of XHTML/CSS knowledge at the time, I proceeded to wordpress.com, then wordpress, then textpattern, then wordpress again. After all this changing I finally settled for wordpress, because at the time, it was much better (I still think it is though). I began to pick up the knowledge and after a million other sites and domains, here I am now.
More Changes, a new company…
I suppose this is a big development in my life on the web. I’ve finally given up freelancing, and I now work for a company (which I incidentally co-founded with Rob). Let me introduce: Kerplunc. The aim of this new development is to have a completely separate fun and serious place and to be able to work with others instead of freelancing. So, me, Rob and Ranjani have teamed together and Kerplunc is now born.
